Application of APG in the Petrochemical industry.
      In the process of petroleum exploration and exploitation, crude oil leakage is very easy to occur. In order to avoid the occurrence of safety accidents, the work site must be cleaned in time. It will be caused big loss that poor heat transfer, equipment corrosion due to clogging of transfer pipelines. So effective and on time of cleaning is the most important. The advantages of water-based metal cleaning agent are that strong decontamination ability and eco-friendly and safe to use, so it can be effectively applied to the cleaning of petrochemical equipment. APG is more widely used in this filed. For pipeline cleaning, the researchers developed a heavy oil dirt cleaning agent. It is compounded with APG, AEO, SLES, AOS and supplemented by triethanolamine, triethanolamine stearate and other additives. It can effectively remove the heavy compositions of petroleum pipelines, and produce a protective film on metal materials to prolong the service life of metal equipment. The researchers also developed a cleaning agent for stainless steel pipe, compounded by APG and fatty alcohol polyoxypropylene ether, amine oxide, supplemented with some chelator. No corrosion to stainless steel pipes. AEO, polyethylene glycol octyl phenyl ether, and APG are nonionic surfactants. They work well together under acidic conditions and have a good synergistic effect. They can be well dispersed and diffuse the oil on the inner wall of the steel pipe to emulsify and break it away from the inner wall. Researchers have studied an acidic cleaning agent for the inner wall of straight-seam submerged arc welded pipe after expanding the diameter, and the oil removal rate of welded pipe specimens of different materials is more than 95%. They also studied the preparation of high-solids heavy oil stain cleaning agents for cleaning oil refinery units and oil pipelines. Compounded by APG (C8~10) and (C12~14),AES, AEO, 6501 and supplemented by chelating agents, bactericides, etc. to get a high-solids heavy oil stain cleaning agents. Its solid content is more than 80%, which can reduce freight costs.
