Alkyl polyglycosides in cleaners

Longer-chain alkyl glycosides, with an alkyl chain length of C12-14 and a DP of about 1.4, have been shown to be particularly advantageous for hand dishwashing detergents. However, relatively short chain alkyl polyglycosides with an alkyl chain length of C8-10 and a DP of about 1.5(C8-C10 APG, BG215,220) are particularly suitable for general purpose formulations and specialty detergents.

Petrochemical and botanical based detergent formulations containing surfactants and surfactant combinations are well known. A wide body of knowledge has developed in this subject. With the introduction of light-colored short-chain alkyl glycosides, many new applications of alkyl glycosides have been discovered. Its wide performance range:

Today, products containing alkyl polyglycosides are found in both general and specialty cleaners, such as bathroom cleaners, toilet cleaners, window cleaners, kitchen cleaners,and floor care products.
